Perfect conditions on Sunday at Lowther Hill with much more snow than anticipated.

Unfortunately we had technical difficulties with the tow - the good news: it ended up being just a simple misalignment of the roller that feeds the rope into the engine hut; once we spotted it, it took no time to be fixed. The frustrating bit: it took us most of the day to find it out as we were looking into other potential causes.

So, cheers not just to our regular volunteers, but specially to our fantastic members who spend most of their skiing Sunday on an improvised work party :-)

The forecast for next weekend looks very promising: Lowther Hill is likely to keep the snow that it has at present, and with a bit of luck we may even be able to re-open Leadhills towards the end of the week. We'll send members a further update by midweek.
